This Townsend DNA Y Chromosome Testing Project is continuing to grow and become more complex. Now with over 80 sets of results, including not only those tested by FamilyTreeDNA but also transfers from the Genographic Project of the National Geographic Society and the Sorenson Molecular Genetic Foundation another tier of web pages has been added. Where clear identifiable "family groups" or "lineages" have emerged these are now shown on their own separate pages. Those clusters of two or three sets of test results are in More Families, while singles - those results that match no others are posted on the page Singles. And some special situations have emerged that are detailed on still another page. A single location or focal point for each family group has not always been identified and some groups have now reached back to England and to other countries - the attempt is to be as descriptive of each group as possible. |
